What will you do on the programme?

Procurement and Supply Chain sits at the heart of everything we do. It ensures that resources, suppliers and services are managed effectively to keep projects on track and deliver for our customers.

This graduate programme offers the change to develop a broad understanding of how supply chains work on a national and global scale. You’ll learn how we source responsibly, manage supplier relationships, and apply technology and data to support the business.

The programme gives you the opportunity to see how working in Procurement and Supply Chain supports both our customers and colleagues, and contributes to a safer more secure world.

How is the programme structured?

This two-year programme combines functional experience with leadership development to prepare you for a future leadership role in procurement and supply chain. You’ll complete four six-month placements across the UK, in areas such as source-to-contract, operational procurement, category management, procurement enablement, supplier quality, and support to business growth.

During your rotations, you’ll work with diverse teams and contribute to key projects. By the end of the programme, you’ll have developed practical skills, gained valuable experience, and explored the wide range of career paths available at Babcock.

How do we develop and support you?

From day one, you’ll receive structured support, personalised training, and dedicated mentorship to help you excel throughout your programme and beyond.

You’ll join our Graduate Development Programme, featuring expert-led masterclasses on communication, personal branding, resilience, and wellbeing.

Development and support

What’s waiting for you after the programme?

Upon completing the programme, you’ll transition into a permanent role within our Procurement and Supply Chain team. You’ll be ready to apply everything you’ve learned about sourcing, supplier relationships and value chain management, making a real impact on the projects and partnerships that keep our business moving.

From there, your development doesn’t stop. We’ll support you as you grow into more senior roles and take on greater responsibility. Through the Babcock Role Framework, you’ll have a clear view of how your career can progress, with mapped-out pathways, development opportunities and the tools you need to get wherever you want to go.

What rewards and benefits will you get?

We want you to feel supported, valued and excited about what’s ahead. That’s why we offer a comprehensive package designed to support your development, your wellbeing and your life outside of work too.
